Inside the Minds

San Antonio criminal defense attorney Kevin L. Collins, P.C. has been selected to contribute to the 2012 edition of Juvenile Criminal Defense Strategies 2012 ed. Leading Lawyers on Examining Recent Trends in Juvenile Law and Building a Successful Defense (Inside the Minds) Collins contribution includes a chapter about juvenile law in schools.

“Writing for Juvenile Criminal Defense Strategies is a wonderful honor. Hopefully, others will benefit from the knowledge I’ve gained from working in juvenile law for the past 26 years,” said Collins. “This is a great opportunity to continue educating those in the legal field.”

Collins is the only Texas-based attorney selected to contribute to the book, which was released on August 31 and features the writings of other legal minds, including Rhonda M. Copley, Eric J. Zogry and Mark W. Helwig.

Published by Aspatore Books, a Thomson Reuters company, Juvenile Criminal Defense Strategies provides an authoritative, insider’s perspective on best practices for counseling juvenile clients. Featuring experienced criminal defense attorneys from around the country, the book guides the reader through the various types of cases juveniles are accused of and highlights the current issues that lawyers face when representing an underage client, including immigration matters, the “sexting” controversy, the prosecution of minors as adults, and the focus on rehabilitation versus punishment. These top lawyers discuss how juvenile clients differ from adult clients and how to collaborate with clients and families to develop a plan that meets everyone’s needs.

Each contributing author has been selected based on their experience and C-Level standing within the business and legal communities.
